ADAM Architecture is the leading practice specialising in classical and traditional architecture in the UK, and at the forefront of the development of contextual urbanism. Our portfolio of projects covers new houses and buildings, including town and country houses; commercial and institutional buildings; estate and farm development including new buildings and the adaptation of existing buildings; and new housing and masterplanning.
ADAM Architecture has extensive experience in delivering new interventions to rural land and estates ranging in scale from small village extensions to major housing developments and extensions to existing towns and settlements, often in historic, sensitive, or highly prominent settings. We offer a range of services depending on the clients’ requirements from initial site assessments, historical analysis to unlock the site, brief formulation, feasibility studies and concept option appraisals, to outline or full planning applications for single buildings, refurbishments and new build, and for larger developments.
ADAM Architecture works collaboratively to design and deliver complex buildings, and estate improvement, restructuring, repurposing, and legacy development. We act variously as the masterplanner, architectural historian, architect and coordinating designer. The practice is directed by Nigel Anderson, Hugh Petter, Robert Kerr, George Saumarez Smith, Darren Price, and Robert Cox and employs around 120 highly skilled and experienced staff. We welcome the opportunity to discuss a site with the landowner, estate manager or similar, to help unlock the development potential diversity of the land.
