Brownfield First Ltd
Brownfield First (established by Harry Preston) is a specialist consultancy supporting the redevelopment of disused or derelict land. Completed investigations include residential and commercial developments on agricultural sites such as intensive farms, sheep dips, derelict steadings, sawmills and infilled ground - as well as former railway land, and the coal mining legacy areas of central Scotland. As a member of the Public Health Team in Stirling Council, I worked closely with Planning and Building Standards. I appreciate that the regulatory system and associated planning conditions can be complex, and that procedures vary greatly between local authorities. Therefore, I take a consultative approach to each project and ‘walk it’ through the system. SL&E members: please do not hesitate to contact me if you think I can be of assistance. I am always happy to discuss your development plans (on site, if possible) even if you just want a second opinion.
