Rent review code will assist tenant farming sectorPress Release
A new code of practice on conducting rent reviews will encourage productive dialogue between landlords and tenants, Scottish Land & Estates said today.
Sarah-Jane Laing, chief executive at Scottish Land & Estates, said: "We welcome publication of the new Code of Practice on Conducting Rent Reviews. It provides practical steps to follow when conducting rent reviews and we would encourage landlords, tenants and agents to familiarise themselves with the code.
"We and other members of the Tenant Farming Advisory Forum have been working closely with the Tenant Farming Commissioner to produce a series of codes which help ensure that landlords and tenants engage in productive and amicable dialogue, and provide clarity on legislation and good practice.”
The code, which has been produced by the Tenant Farming Commissioner in conjunction with members of the Tenant Farming Advisory Forum, can be read here.
