We are an independent, family-owned company with 60 years of beekeeping traditions. All of our honey is sourced in a sustainable and responsible way both from our own apiaries in Scotland and from some our family has in Poland. We specialize in rare, high-quality raw honey, that is hand-packed with recycled materials only and it is 100% plastic free. Our dedication to recycling and ecology is deeply rooted in company values and work ethos.
Our beekeeping tradition started with our grandfather Witold over 60 years ago back in Poland.
We are committed to living up to his ideas and our goal is to minimize our impact on the environment, through recycling materials we use in our shipping and reducing our carbon footprint. We aim to reduce our carbon footprint and for our shipping needs, we use directly recycled boxes from local shops and low emission vehicles. We aim to promote our beekeeping tradition and passion in Scotland by creating new beehives families and through educational activities.
Recently we have established our first Scotland-based bee farm in Perthshire, near Blackford. We have erected 30 hives, both there and in other parts of Scotland (Forfar and East Lothian) and our bees are doing great.
We have collected our first harvest and our goal is to grow our apiary and this way contribute to the local economy, society, and environment. We recently introduced 20 new queens and are excited about our growth.
Our honey is available online at https://miod.co/ and from various events which we attend throughout the year.
