Craigies farm is a wonderful farm shop located in Edinburgh, with scenic views overlooking the Firth of Forth, it is the perfect place to relax. Established as far back as 1966, Craigie’s is one of the closest farm shops to Edinburgh and is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy what nature has to offer.
Craigie’s is the perfect place for young ones to discover where their food comes from and to take part in farming life. Whether it’s picking and probably eating a punnet of strawberries, visiting the array of farm animals or joining the Nature Detective on a special trail, there is plenty to explore and discover in the outdoors.
With Scotland's Larder on their doorstep, local really does mean local. Wanting to promote the best that Scotland has to offer, Craigie’s have filled their shop with as much Scottish produce as possible, working closely with Scottish businesses and supporting local farmers. With the demand to know where our products come from, Craigie’s makes sure there is no doubt, from picking your own fruit and vegetables, to wonderful butchery counter. The butchery counter is an ode to tradition, where you can chat with the butcher himself, and ask for advice on the yummiest cuts, just like traditional family butchers in the past.
With all their wonderful support for local businesses and farmers, it is no surprise that Craigie’s are giving back, having just partnered with Edinburgh-based charity Bethany Christian Trust to help tackle homelessness in Scotland. This family farm chose the Scottish charity as its official charity partner for the next 3 years as they were inspired by the organisation’s mission of homelessness prevention and crisis intervention.
