Community Food Initiatives North East (CFINE) improves health and well-being and the environment, tackles poverty and builds resilience through a range of support and services for and with disadvantaged, vulnerable, low-income individuals, families and communities in NE Scotland. At the start of the coronavirus outbreak, we have had to make adjustments to how we support our community during these unprecedented times. We are committed to helping people who are facing hardship; however, as a responsible organisation, we have the duty to safeguard our beneficiaries, volunteers and staff from the spread of COVID-19. In March, we transformed CFINE's food bank into a home delivery service and we have been distributing over 1,500 emergency food parcels weekly ever since with the help of our partners and our team of volunteers and staff.
