Members are invited to attend a visit to the spectacular award winning 5* Dunvegan Castle & Gardens - winner of the Tourism Award at Scottish Land & Estates Helping it Happen Awards Ceremony in 2018 on Tuesday 2 April 2019. Come along and hear first-hand from owner Hugh MacLeod about Dunvegan’s castle and garden restoration over the last 10 years. Tour of the castle with Hugh MacLeod and Castle Custodian, tour of the magnificent formal gardens with Head Gardener followed by an appetising lunch in the MacLeod Tables Café.  After lunch a 25 min boat trip subject to weather and availability to see the Loch Dunvegan seal colony as well as many species of birds etc.  Finally you might have a chance to browse in one of the Castle’s four shops before you leave!


09.00:09.30 - Tea and coffee with some croissants etc in the MacLeod Tables Café in the castle car park.

09.30:10.00 -  Hugh MacLeod will present a brief power point presentation about the castle and garden restoration over the last 10yrs.

10.00:11.00 - A tour of the castle with Hugh MacLeod and Jeroen (Castle Custodian)

11.00:12.30 - Garden tour with Hugh MacLeod and Ingrid (Head Gardener)

12.30:13.30 - Networking Lunch in the MacLeod Tables Cafe.

13.30:14.00 - 25min trip on the clinker seal boats subject to weather and availability.
