Consultation: Proposed Tenancy Deposit Schemes - Revised Terms of SafeDeposits Scotland

The Tenancy Deposit Schemes (Scotland) Regulations 2011 set out the conditions that tenancy deposit schemes must meet before they can be approved.

Scottish Ministers are now considering proposals for the operation of mandatory national tenancy deposit schemes, which will change how landlords and letting agents deal with tenancy deposits.

You may be aware of a recent consultation which took place on the terms of a scheme proposed by SafeDeposits Scotland, between 5 December and 22 January 2012.

The proposer took a decision to revise the wording of their terms before the end of that consultation. Therefore a new consultation is taking place on the revised terms between 6 February and 18 March.
