Scottish Land & Estates has submitted a response to the call for evidence on the Land Registration etc. (Scotland) Bill. Key provisions of the Bill, if enacted, will encourage voluntary first registration of land in the Land Register and will also permit the Keeper of the Land Register to induce first registrations, which has potential implications for members. The written evidence of Scottish Land & Estates, prepared with the assistance of a sub group of experienced rural conveyancers.
Legal Advisor, Richard Blake this week also gave verbal evidence to the Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee on the Bill.
