Stranraer and North Rhins Free Insulation Project

You may be aware of the Stranraer and North Rhins free insulation project that is currently being managed by the Energy Agency on behalf of Dumfries & Galloway Council. The project offers all households within these areas free cavity wall insulation, loft insulation (or loft top up insulation if their current loft insulation is less than 150mm), regardless of age, income or tenure. The project is therefore also open to those who rent their property from a private landlord and we would encourage either the tenant or the landlord to get in touch with us in order that we can make the property warmer and more energy efficient. The tenant must be present at the time of survey (the landlord can also be present) and they must receive signed confirmation from their landlord (the surveyor would provide the relevant form) in order for the installation to be completed.
