Moore is urged to axe Scotland Bill

MICHAEL MOORE, the Scottish Secretary, was last night called on to scrap the Scotland Bill and start again as support for it has evaporated among many MPs and MSPs.

Former Scotland Office minister Lord Foulkes spoke out as Labour figures in Scotland prepare to vote for a new leader and mull over where to position the party on devolution powers.

The Labour peer told The Herald MSPs have told him privately it is likely Holyrood will vote against the Scotland Bill, which gives the Scottish Parliament extra tax powers. Read more click here.
