Tourism growth

The International Passenger Survey (IPS) and the domestic tourism statistics were published at the end of January – both demonstrate significant growth. Overseas visits to Scotland were up 14.6% and domestic visits were up by 10% from July to September. Key influences include increased capacity on air routes, favourable exchange rates and the Outlander effect.
