Farmers urged to prepare for winter


To help farmers prepare the Scottish Government has identified a series of questions, based on actual problems regularly encountered during periods of severe weather, that will help farmers to identify their business risks and get ready. Issues regularly faced by farmers include access, livestock accommodation, feed, water and machinery.


The “Get Ready for Winter” website contains advice for farmers as well as information on the transportation of livestock and implications for livestock markets.
