Community Right to Buy: Abandoned, neglected or detrimental land
Workshop to discuss Draft Legislation
When: Monday 29th January 2018
      Time: 10.30 – 13.00
Where: Cairngorm Hotel, Grampian Road, Aviemore, PH22 1PE
Secondary legislation proposals relating to Part 3A of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 (the community right to buy abandoned, neglected or detrimental land as introduced by the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015) are currently being finalised. This legislation is due to go before Parliament in late spring before finally coming into force in May/June 2018.
Scottish Government, supported by CNPA, is gathering views about this draft secondary legislation and will be holding a workshop on Mon 29th Jan 18 in Aviemore to which you are cordially invited.
The purpose of the workshop, which will be chaired by Murray Ferguson and led by Dave Thomson, Head of Community Land Team in Scottish Government is to
• Raise awareness about how these new provisions are expected to work on the ground
• discuss the content of the draft legislation so that changes can be made if necessary
