A Nitrogen Budget for Scotland

This week Andrew Midgley attended a meeting convened by Nourish Scotland to explore ideas for developing a Nitrogen Budget for Scotland. In the context of climate change and the Scottish Government’s forthcoming Climate Bill, Nourish and Stop Climate Chaos Scotland have asked for the Bill to include provisions that would require the Scottish Government to develop a Nitrogen Budget by 2020.

The meeting held in Edinburgh on Friday 8th involved nitrogen experts, farming and environmental organisations. A report will be produced in due course.
