The Scottish Tourism Alliance has published findings from an industry wide survey on factors affecting tourism businesses in Scotland. The report highlights 63% of respondents are confident in the future confidence of their business heading towards 2020. There were considerable variations between sectors, with 81% of self-catering being ‘very or quite confident’ and less than 50% of restaurants felt the same.

Other key findings include; 1 in 6 businesses lack confidence; 47% expected their annual turnover to increase in the next three years; and 65% anticipated a decrease in profit.
