Women in Agriculture – Argyll & the Islands Event

NFUS are holding a one-day conference titled ‘Women in Agriculture – Argyll & the Islands’. The event will take place on Wednesday 4 Oct in Lochgilphead Community Education Centre, Manse Brae, Lochgilphead, Argyll.
This is the first ‘Women in Agriculture’ event to be held in Argyll & the Islands and follows on from the national events that have been held in Scotland over the last few years, and also on the back of the Scottish Government report, published in June, titled “Women in Farming and the Agriculture Sector”.
Joyce Campbell, sheep farmer based in North Sutherland and joint chair of the Scottish Government Women in Agriculture Task Force, will be speaking at the event. The day will be chaired by Sarah Allison, Vice Chairperson of the NFUS New Generation Group and previously chairwoman of the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs Agri and Rural Affairs Committee.
