Private water supply regulations consultation

 
Scottish Land & Estates’ members are reminded the deadline for submitting responses to the consultation in relation to the draft Water Intended for Human Consumption (Private Supplies) (Scotland) Regulations 2017 is fast approaching.
 
For large Type A supplies the proposals include; a new definition of the ‘relevant person’; 1 initial risk assessment test followed by a minimum 5-yearly review; the creation of supply zones in local authority areas; and a duty for local authorities to monitor these supply zones.
