Avian Influenza confirmed in Norfolk

On Saturday  3 June, CVO UK confirmed Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) H5N8 on a non-commercial smallholding near Diss, Norfolk.

The premises remains under restriction and a 3 km Protection Zone and 10 km Surveillance Zone have been declared while investigations continue.

The Scottish Government’s General Licence for Bird Gatherings does not permit birds travelling from any area within a Surveillance or Protection Zone, or poultry/specified categories of birds from Prevention Zones, to attend such gatherings.
