Visit to Winston Churchill Venison

 
Organised by Countryside Learning Scotland, a group of S4 students from Dunoon Grammar School had the opportunity to visit Winston Churchill Venison at Ardtaraig Estate to learn about the venison production business. The students found out about the processes involved in getting the deer from mountain to plate, as well as the various business opportunities associated with that process. 
 
It is widely recognised that many rural businesses struggle to entice young people in rural areas to stay and work in the sector. Countryside Learning Scotland aims to: improve the national awareness of and engagement with the countryside; and improve people’s quality of life through increasing their access to and use of the countryside.
