Exchange of ideas on the future of land management in Scotland

Anne Gray and Andrew Midgley met with David Barnes and Neil Watt from the Scottish Government’s Brexit Hub yesterday to discuss Scottish Land & Estates position paper “A New Direction for Land Management in Scotland” Anne and Andrew were able to give some fuller detail and background to the proposals in the organisation’s position paper, to hear the Scottish Government officials thoughts on it and on the wider context of agriculture and rural support post-Brexit, and to sound out ideas for further work going forward.  These, and other similar meetings with a variety of interested parties, will continue over the spring and summer period.
