Loch Lomond & Trossachs - Introduction of Camping Byelaws

This week Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park introduced new camping byelaws. Camping is welcome throughout the National Park but in order to protect some its most cherished lochshores, byelaws creating Camping Management Zones (which cover less than 4% of the Park’s 720 sq mile area) will be in effect between March and September.

Scottish Land & Estates are supportive of the approach being taken and we are in agreement with the measures being implemented which includes a programme of management, education and awareness raising.

The positive for land managers is that the Park are keen to encourage more camping facilities in and around the Camping Management Zones and interested landowners, businesses etc. are been encouraged to contact the park.
