Code of Practice final working group

The non-domestic water industry has been working to draft a Code of Practice for the industry, this week was the third and final working group to be held on the issue. The final draft will be circulated to Scottish Land & Estates and other members of the group before being approved and implemented by the Water Industry Commission for Scotland (WICS).

The code is likely to be voluntary in the first instance and will set out guidance on; general principles; sales/contracts; transfers/switching; complaints; third party intermediaries/brokers; debt recovery; contract expiry; billing; and back-billing.
