Call for Views on Scottish Government's Spending Proposals

The Scottish Parliament's Local Government & Regeneration Committee has launched a call for evidence on the Scottish Government's spending proposals for local government, contained in the Spending Review 2011 and Draft Budget 2012-13. Please see the call for evidence for details on how to make a submission to the Committee.

The closing date for receipt of submissions is Friday 21 October 2011.

The Scottish Parliament's Rural Affairs, Climate Change and Environment Committee has now issued a call for views on the Scottish Government's Scottish Spending Review 2011 and Draft Budget 2012-13. Further information can be found on this webpage. The Committee will take evidence on the budget, relating to issues under its remit, on 5 and 26 October from the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment and the Minister for the Environment and Climate Change respectively.

The evidence session on 5 October will cover all aspects of the Committee's remit except climate change (e.g. agriculture, fisheries and rural development, environment and natural heritage, land reform, water quality regulation and sustainable development) and the deadline for receipt of submissions on those issues is Thursday 29 September. The evidence session on 26 October will cover the climate change aspects of the budget and the deadline for receipt of submissions is Wednesday 19 October.
