A 12-week consultation on the long-term framework for the devolved management of the Crown Estate in Scotland was announced this week. The Crown Estate in Scotland includes a diverse portfolio of property, rights and interests that influence many aspects of rural and coastal life in Scotland. The devolution of the management and revenue of the Crown Estate in Scotland has come about as part of the Scotland Act 2016.
The Scottish Government is taking a phased approach on devolution of the management of the Crown Estate. This consultation will inform the second phase of devolution. The consultation on the proposals will run until 29 March and details can be found on the Scottish Government website here.
