Voluntary Land Registration

Registers of Scotland has confirmed that it has reviewed its policy on the mapping of servitudes in respect of voluntary land registration applications.  It will continue to encourage the mapping of servitudes, but does now recognise circumstances in which this may not be possible.  Consequently when a deed describes a servitude in a manner which is undefined and incapable of being shown on the Land Register map, it will simply make reference in the title sheet to the right as granted and guidance is now being updated to reflect this.
