Application deadline for SUSSS 2016 - Monday 17 October

This year’s Scottish Upland Sheep Support Scheme (SUSSS), which provides additional support on top of the Basic Payment Scheme to sheep producers who farm in Scotland's rough grazing areas, will close for applications on Monday 17 October, 2016.

We are directing customers to make online applications for SUSSS on Rural Payments and Services here.

Online applications allow applicants to easily withdraw any animals from the scheme that they no longer wish to claim, or that die during the retention period.

Customers can also submit paper-based applications. The forms are still available through local Area Offices. These must be completed and returned to the Area Office within the Scheme application period in order to apply.

SUSSS scheme guidance can be found at Rural Payments and Services here. If you have any queries please contact the Entitlements and Payments Information Helpline on 0300 300 2222.
