Tuesday this week saw the Scottish Parliament Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform (ECCLR) Committee consider and approve an order setting annual climate change targets for 2028- 2032 and restrictions on use of carbon units for 2018 - 2022.

On 7 September 2016, draft orders under the Climate Change (Scotland) Act 2009 were laid before the Scottish Parliament in relation to setting annual targets for the years 2028-2032 and a limit on the use of carbon units over the period 2018-2022.  A statement on the proposed annual targets was published on the same date.  The official report on Tuesday’s meeting can be found here...
