Community Planning under the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015: Consultation on Draft Guidance and Regulation

Scottish Land & Estates has responded to the Scottish Government consultation on community planning as part of the drafting of secondary legislation in relation to the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.

The thrust of our response is that as we commented in response to the consultation on the Bill, effective engagement should be encouraged not enforced through legislation.  That the guidance is on the whole not rigid and prescriptive is therefore, with a few caveats, broadly welcomed.  We particularly welcome the engagement of all partners on an equal footing.
