Consultation on proposals relating to secondary legislation for Part 3 of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 – the crofting community right to buy

 
Scottish Land & Estates has responded to the consultation proposals on crofting community right to buy per the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.  Our response can be found below.
 
We have welcomed a clear process both pre and post ballot and sought further clarity in terms of compensation provisions.  In terms of the outcome of the ballot we believe there should be guidance as to what constitutes a majority given such a significant decision is being made and we have also expressed concern around the term 'public interest' and its interpretation.
