Cairngorms Economic Forum

The Cairngorms Economic Forum (CEF)  met on Thursday 12 May in Boat of Garten to hear from Grant Moir, CEO of the Cairngorms National Park Authority, advise about the impending consultation on the next Park Partnership Plan. The CEF representatives from  Scottish Land & Estates, SCDI, Highland, Moray and Aberdeenshire Councils CNPA, Cairngorm Business Partnership, VisitScotland, Highlands & Islands Enterprise and Skills Development Scotland were advised that the consultation on the new plan will run for 14 weeks from June to September 2014 and will consist of online, face to face and workshop opportunities for individuals and organisations to make their views known. When this consultation is completed, the results will be developed into a draft Partnership Plan which will also present a further chance for modification.

Grant Moir said: "We will be concentrating on 9 Big Ideas within this Plan as we aim to refine and simplify our objectives.” The CNPA Board are currently working on the list of 9 issues and these will be available for scrutiny when the consultation is launched formally next month."
