Housebuilding Infrastructure Loan Fund

The Scottish Government is calling for applications to a new £10m Housebuilding Infrastructure Loan Fund, which will offer repayable loans to support the provision of enabling infrastructure and other work required to bring forward new housing. The fund is open to applications from any and all organisations and entities and can be linked to the provision of housing for all tenures. Funding will be provided to support the provision of on-site enabling physical infrastructure and other work genuinely required to commence house-building projects, including e.g. roads, sewers, SUDS ponds, decontamination, flood remediation and demolition work. In addition, where a Section 75 agreement requires it, certain off-site infrastructure needed to enable a development will also be eligible.

Full details of the fund eligibility, the assessment process and the arrangements about payment of laons to successful applicants and management of repayment are available here

Please note that applications must be submitted by midnight on 19 October 2011.
