The Scottish Government announced a Review of the Protection of Wild Mammals (Scotland) Act 2002 led by Lord Bonomy. The review is to investigate the operation of the Act and whether it is providing sufficient protection for wild mammals while at the same time allowing for effective and humane control of mammals such as foxes. Scottish Land & Estates will be responding to the review.

A report, including recommendations for changes where appropriate, will be submitted to Ministers by the end of Parliament’s summer recess 2016.
