This grant scheme has been put in place to encourage a quick uptake of these materials across the country.

A maximum of £10,000 per project is available with a minimum grant award of £500 (both excluding any VAT that can be recovered from HMRC). If you have a large-scale project which is likely to require a greater level of funding than the maximum allowance, or if you have a small-scale project which requires less than the minimum specified, please contact Zero Waste Scotland ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Who can apply and what is covered?

Any public sector organisation operating in Scotland is eligible to apply for funding. Private and Third sector organisations are eligible to apply provided they are registered, constituted and operating in Scotland.

The funding will cover capital costs for the production of litter prevention communication materials based on those developed by Zero Waste Scotland. The messages and designs selected for your campaign should be appropriate for the context and audience targeted, as outlined in the brochure.
