Fife Sporting Rates

Members in Fife may have received a Return of Rental Information form regarding sporting rights from the Assessors at Fife Council. We understand this has been sent to all landlords, tenants and occupiers based on historical data. Members are advised that this form should not have been sent and should be ignored. A form specific to sporting rights is currently being drafted for the whole of Scotland along with a practice note for assessors. As a reminder, the reintroduction of sporting rates has been included in the Land Reform Bill which has not yet gone through parliamentary procedure.
