North Ayrshire – Community Outdoor Access Grant Scheme


North Ayrshire Council in partnership with North Ayrshire Outdoor Access Forum is currently inviting applications to the innovative Community Outdoor Access Grant Scheme.

Community councils and voluntary bodies, such as community groups, are invited to apply to the scheme for assistance towards small-scale community based outdoor access projects.

Applications will be accepted to the scheme until 29 September 2011 and works must be completed by 1 March 2012.  The scheme offers assistance of a maximum of £500 towards the cost of any eligible work, such as:

• Improving and extending routes
• Inclusion of furniture for example seats and cycle stands
• Waymarking and signage
• Production and printing of promotional literature
