Scone goes solar

The successful installation of a 50kW roof mounted PV system for Scone Estates has now been completed. The system was installed on one of the Estate’s agricultural sheds located on part of Scone Estate, not far from Scone Palace itself. The work was overseen by Smiths Gore’s Sustainable and Renewable Energy team who identified the site through a feasibility study, which also identified seven other potential sites and are looking to be next in line. This is part of a series of developments which Scone Estates are progressing.

On Saturday 4 April both the Courier & Advertiser and the Press & Journal included articles highlighting the Estate’s plans to introduce renewable energy technologies across its land.
