Major success for campaigners as sea eagles raise triplet chicks

Sea eagle triplets – only the second trio recorded in ScotlandGood things have come in threes this summer for campaigners working to reintroduce Britain’s biggest bird of prey to Scotland’s skies.

A pair of white-tailed eagles – also called sea eagles – on the island of Canna have raised triplet chicks for only the second time in this country.

The Hebridean hat-trick is one of two breeding successes for the National Trust for Scotland, which is monitoring nests at two sites in the north-west.  To read more click here.
