“Jess the Dog” outdoor access campaign

Outdoor Access Scotland has launched its “Jess the Dog” radio campaign to warn the public to take care around livestock with young animals this spring and summer.

With the start of spring lambing and calving, dogs can be a real worry for farm animals, particularly those with young, and this campaign urges dog owners to seek out good advice and download the leaflet on best practice from the Outdoor Access website.

The campaign advises dog walkers to be aware of their surroundings and think ahead, follow any local signage and be prepared to take an alternative route if necessary.
