Scotland's Economic Strategy launched

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Employment and Sustainable Growth, John Swinney, today launched the Scottish Government Economic Strategy, setting out the framework for creating “a more cohesive and resilient economy that improves the opportunities, life chances, and wellbeing of every citizen in our country”. It forms the strategic plan for existing and all future Scottish Government policy, and prioritises boosting investment and innovation, supporting inclusive growth and maintaining focus on increasing internationalisation.
The Strategy focuses on increasing competitiveness and tackling inequality, and there are four policy areas where action will be focussed: Investment, Innovation, Inclusive Growth, and Internationalisation.
