Salmon Licensing Consultation

Following the Wild Fisheries Review Group’s recommendations The Scottish Government has published it’s consultation on licensing the killing of salmon. The consultation contains three proposals; to make it illegal to kill wild salmon without a licence, to introduce a carcass tagging system, and to ban certain equipment which increases salmon deaths during catch and release. We welcome member’s opinions on the consultation which will help to inform our response.

The consultation can be found here...
