Land Use Strategy Aberdeenshire Pilot Event

LUNCH & AFTERNOON EVENT at Woodend Barn, Banchory 1300-1630, Thursday 26th February 2015

Aberdeenshire Council has been carrying a regional pilot for the Scottish Land Use Strategy on behalf of Scottish Government. The Aberdeenshire Pilot is primarily focused on issues of rural land use change. The key aim of the Pilot is to create a framework which summarises policy and environmental information for users and indicates where particular types of land use change might be beneficial or detrimental in line with policy goals and climate change mitigation/adaption. The Pilot is taking a strong partnership approach with the James Hutton Institute as key delivery partners and a wide range of stakeholders is represented on the Project Board. This will be a chance to view the outputs to date and to steer the future direction this work could take in Aberdeenshire.
