This week the Scottish Caravan and Camping Forum have published research into the "Economic Impact of the Holiday-Park Sector in Scotland".
The Report is the outcome of extensive and comprehensive research into the sector; the survey included both park-owners and visitors. The full report can be downloaded from the Tourism Alliance website; there is a link in the summary (attached).
The Report contains substantial financial information on spend by visitors and by the park-owners, on FTE jobs and on gross value added. The information is shown in the various tables by Scotland as a whole and by region. The findings demonstrate the importance of the sector in the rural economy.
