Highland Members' Meeting

Aldourie Castle near Dores on the east shore of Loch Ness was the venue for a gathering of Highlands and Islands members. This followed similar gatherings around the Regions.

The event contained three elements: an update on the work of the organisation & key issues facing our sector; a presentation from the new Chairman of Scottish Natural Heritage, Ian Ross OBE who reflected on the productive partnerships that have developed between SNH and Scottish Land & Estates and also between SNH and UHI, and now the three organisations together; a series of presentations from senior UHI staff on Energy, Biodiversity and the Land Based curriculum advising the range of subjects of importance to our sector that are developing around the colleges within the UHI.
