Venue: Tillmouth Park Country House Hotel (Cornhill-on-Tweed TD12 4UU)
Date:Wednesday 22 October 2014
Time: 10.00 - 15.30
Sponsored by Shepherd & Wedderburn LLP (Formally Tods Murray) this demonstration day is a must attend event with a packed agenda, not only is the Tweed
world famous for its salmon fishing today’s demonstration day will be notable for crossing the Border for the very first time. The focus of this day will be on the recently published Wild Fisheries Review, with experts from both Scottish Land & Estates and Shepherd & Wedderburn LLP both speaking and on hand to answer your questions.
This really is the occasion to come and learn how the review affects you and your fishing interests, so attendance is strongly advised for those with fishing interests.
During the day the speakers will outline the practicalities of running a commercial fishing beat, responsibilities and obligations, opportunities, advertising, legalities and updates on current developments. This day will also touch on fisheries science and management, catch and release best practice, environmental habitat as well as the legal aspects of commercial fisheries management. Delegates will be given a guided tour round the Tillmouth Fishing Beat after lunch. Tillmouth is one of the largest beats on the river Tweed with fishing available for up to 6 rods incorporating four miles of prime salmon and sea trout fishing. We are very grateful to the owners of the Tillmouth Beat for allowing us to visit.
