Free flood risk surveys proposed in Perth and Kinross

Perth and Kinross Council is considering a scheme to help fund protection products for properties at risk of flooding in the area. The Council has worked with Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish Flood Forum to develop the pilot Property Level Protection Scheme in Aberfeldy, Comrie, Crieff and Pitlochry. These areas were identified as being the most at risk of flooding within Perth and Kinross. Residents in the pilot area will be offered free flood risk surveys and will be offered to buy flood risk protection products at a discounted price through the Council. If the polit is a success, the Council hope to roll the scheme out to the whole area.
