A two and a half day workshop called Chiasma (meaning ideas meeting at the point of creation) will bring together small rural businesses, academics, environmentalists, designers and scientists. The focus is on the changing environment in rural Scotland and is it hoped that, together, the group will develop innovative solutions to support rural Scotland in the changing climate. Organisers, Design in Action, have allocated £20,000 to each project idea which is developed at the workshop. This will help build prototypes or provide support for development. The closing date for those wishing to attend is 1st September.
