Rural Scotland's Chance to Quiz Lochhead

People across rural Scotland will have the chance this summer to ask Richard Lochhead, Scotland’s Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Food and Environment, about the Government’s plans for independence as set out in Scotland’s Future. From Dingwall to Dumfries, via the Western Isles and the Scottish Borders, Mr Lochhead will host public meetings and take part in question and answer sessions the length and breadth of the country. The Cabinet Secretary’s final summer tour before the referendum kicks off with a public meeting in South Uist tonight (Tuesday July 22, 2014) where he will set out the Government’s vision for Scotland’s future.

The Cabinet Secretary’s programme includes:

Tuesday July 22, 7.30pm
Scotland’s Future public question and answer session, Talla Chidhe, Lochboisdale, South Uist

Wednesday July 23, 7pm
NFUS independence debate, Dingwall Mart.

Saturday July 26, 12.30pm
Answering questions on independence at the Scottish Government stand at the Border Union Show.

Friday August 1, 7.30pm
Scotland’s Future public question and answer session, Annan Community Centre, Annan
Saturday August 2, 11.30am
Answering questions on independence at the Scottish Government stand at the Dumfries Agricultural Show.

Monday August 4, 12.30pm 
Answering questions on independence at the Scottish Government stand at the Turriff Show.

Thursday August 7, 12.30pm
