Energy Efficiency of Hard to Heat Houses

alt

Over 40 members and guests gathered at Cambusmore Estate on 17 June to view first-hand the energy efficiency measures which have been deployed in Cambusmore House and learn of the proposed works to be undertaken in a number of estate properties.

Hosted by Mike and Paula Baillie-Hamilton, attendees were informed of the processes involved and the decisions required to be made when considering such work.

On hand to lend their knowledge and expertise were members of the team which Mike has assembled to carry out the work including  Alisdair MacDuff from MacDuff Architects, John Rennie from Natural Building Technologies and Jamie Reith from Reith Partners (Woodfuel) Ltd.

This informal ‘walk and talk’ event was an opportunity for those interested in the subject to meet, network and learn from each other in a practical way.

Those attending were treated to a lunch kindly supplied by Natural Building Technologies.
