Land Use Research published

At this week’s Land Use Strategy conference, the Scottish Government published findings of work it had commissioned into the range of current land use delivery mechanisms and the degree to which they are effective in translating the strategic Principles of the LUS into decision-making on the ground.
The LUS Delivery Evaluation Project adopted a case study based approach drawing on data from eleven case studies which were all examples of land use delivery mechanisms.
In the week following from the publication of the Land Reform Review Group’s report, the first Main Finding states that “There is significant capacity to deliver sustainable land use, as advocated by the LUS, within Scotland’s existing land use delivery mechanism ‘landscape”.
